U.S. Bankruptcy Court approves the sale of the Jefferson County Metallurgical Complex to Silver Bow Mining under Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code…
Beyond the Headline
Silver Bow has now received U.S. Bankruptcy Court approval for its acquisition of the Jefferson County Metallurgical Complex and completed the initial closing. It funded approximately US$28.58 million into escrow, principally covering obligations to Montana environmental regulators and Jefferson County. This does not, however, transfer ownership of the complex but is positive as one of major transactional risks has now been removed. .
Final closing remains subject to customary conditions, including shareholder and NYSE American approvals. Confirmation that the existing crushing, flotation and milling infrastructure can be refurbished economically and successfully treat Rainbow ore, would allow Silver Bow to proceed with production at a much lower CAPEX compared to constructing a new processing plant.
