Onyx Gold Corp. (“Onyx” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: ONYX, OTCQX: ONXGF) is pleased to report assay results from an additional nine (9) drill holes from the Argus Gold System (“Argus”) at its 100%-owned Munro-Croesus Project (“Munro-Croesus” or the “Project”), located 75 kilometers east of Timmins, Ontario. (Figure 4).
Results reported today are from the Argus Main and Argus West zones, two of several mineralized zones being explored within the broader Argus Gold System…
Beyond the Headline
Onyx delivered another excellent Argus Main result in Hole MC26-340 of 67.0m @ 1.7 g/t Au, including 24.5 m @ 4.1 g/t Au, including 6.0m @ 13.2 g/t Au, including 1.0 m @ 73.4 g/t Au with visible gold. A deeper hole MC26-329 about 150 m down-dip returned 144.5m @ 0.7 g/t Au, including 21.3m @ 2.1 g/t Au. Onyx interprets a higher-grade plunging zone within a much broader mineralized envelope. Argus is now mineralized over approximately 1.4 km strike and >700 m vertically. Six (6) holes were reported for Argo West with best results of 0.7 g/t Au over 4.9 m (MC26-304) and 0.5 g/t Au over 9.0 m (MC26-309). The results in Argus Main are a strong combination of very broad low-grade envelopes and coherent higher-grade plunging shoots which strengthens the case that Argus could eventually support a sizeable mineral resource.
