Beyond the Headline
KLDC reported the first two holes from regional testing around the Mirado deposit. Drill hole KLM26-037 returned 69.5 m @ 1.22 g/t Au from only 33 m, including 12.0 m @ 5.67 g/t Au. Hole KLM26-35 returned a series of intermittent lower grade intersections over 107m from 19.50m including 21.16m 0.35 g/t Au, 15.83m @ 0.65g/t Au and 11.23m @ 0.34 g/t Au. This hole also included a deeper higher grade intersection of 1.10m @ 36.72m from 174.m and 11.60m @0.89 g/t Au from 222.40m.
The mineralization and alteration intersected in these two holes are consistent with the Mirado deposit extending mineralization more than 600 m west and increasing its lateral mineralized footprint to over 1.3 km. Nineteen holes remain pending, including four at Mirado West.
These results are very positive as they demonstrate that Merado is part of a much larger, contiguous gold system with significant broad, near surface gold mineralization.
