Beyond the Headline

Harvest announced that it has postponed drilling at Mosseau following discussions with the Lac Simon First Nation, which requested completion of two agreements currently under negotiation before drilling begins. Harvest agreed and demobilized its contractor. Relations are described as positive and negotiations as well advanced. The preferred new start date is October 5, after hunting season, allowing 30–40 days of drilling through mid-November. The program remains fully funded. This delay is unfortunate but the relationship with the Lac Simon First Nation appears constructive so the drill program is expected to go ahead on the revised schedule which allows sufficient time to complete the planned program.
