BCM Resources Corporation (TSXV: B) (“BCM” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce completion of diamond drill hole TK21 to a depth of 4,241 ft (1,293 m) at its 100% controlled Thompson Knolls (TK) project, Millard County, Utah.
Beyond the Headline
BCM reported further positive exploration results from diamond drilling on their100% owned Thompson Knolls Project in Utah that strengthen the case for a large porphyry Cu-Mo system with associated copper skarn mineralization.
Hole TK21 was drilled vertically about 250m west of TK20.to a depth of 4,241ft (1,293m). Bedrock was encountered at 1,867ft (569m). This hole intersected 305m of copper-bearing skarn, extending from 2952ft (900 m) to 3,952ft (1,205m) downhole. Approximately 460ft (140 m) of this interval is reported to contain more than 1% chalcopyrite by volume. Host rocks are predominantly dolomitic marbles of the Simonson Formation, with brecciated and altered carbonate rocks above.
Mineralization is disseminated chalcopyrite, locally associated with pyrite and pyrrhotite, including a 1.1 m interval of massive sulfides. The hole was terminated at 4,241ft (1,293 m) in Eureka Quartzite before reaching the underlying Pogonip carbonate sequence, another potential skarn host. Assays are pending for both this hole and the previously completed hole TK-20.
BCM plans to drill TK22 from the TK21 platform toward TK20, testing the projected margin of the molybdenite-rich porphyry centre and adjacent proximal copper skarn.
Completed IP and magnetotelluric surveys are now being processed into 3D models to guide Phase 5 drilling.
Comments
K21 confirms copper-bearing skarn near earlier holes TK5 and TK8. Together with TK20, this indicates that mineralization extends over a significant lateral distance. The 140 m interval containing more than 1% chalcopyrite by volume is encouraging. As a rough mineralogical calculation, 1% disseminated chalcopyrite by volume corresponds to approximately 0.35% Cu by weight, assuming typical mineral densities and that all copper occurs in chalcopyrite. Actual grades could however differ considerably.
Hole TK20 previously intersected approximately 594 m of visually mineralized porphyry and skarn, including intense molybdenite mineralization. TK21 adds evidence of a substantial peripheral copper skarn environment. This association is consistent with a potentially large, vertically extensive porphyry-skarn system. Further commentary will be provided when assays are available.
Note that the August 17, 2026 TK20 release reports a hole length of 4,317 ft, equivalent to approximately 1,316 m, but gives 1,261 m. This apparent conversion discrepancy needs clarification.
