“Our first few holes are intersecting similar styles of mineralization that were observed during the 2011 drilling program,” said Nick Rodway, CEO of Core Silver Corp. “This drill program has been developed with aggressive step outs from historical drilling. The abundance of sulphide mineralization, together with the historical assay results, supports our view that Touleary has the potential to host a sizeable polymetallic system. We have prepared the samples for lab analysis and look forward to providing information on the next few holes shortly.”
Beyond the Headline
Core Silver reported that its first four holes in the 2026 drilling program (Figures 1 and 2) intersected copper-bearing sulphide mineralization at the Touleary Project in Yukon. The target is a deformed volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system, potentially containing copper-rich sulphide lenses and associated feeder zones (Figure 3). Visual highlights of this drilling are (Table 1):
- Four holes completed, totalling 962.6 m of a planned minimum 3,000m program.
- Chalcopyrite present in all four holes, with sphalerite locally present.
- Semi-massive to massive sulphides intersected over widths up to 7.0 m.
- Sericite alteration, silicification and pyrite accompany mineralization.
Table 1: Significant visual mineralized intervals, drilling at Touleary Project, Yukon
| Drill hole | Mineralized interval | Geological observations |
| TL-26-006 | 203–213 m and 219–240 m | Sericite-altered schist with pyrite & minor chalcopyrite |
| TL-26-007 | 1.5 m and 2.0 m | Semi-massive to massive sulphides with chalcopyrite |
| TL-26-008 | 7.0 m (208.5–215.5 m) | Semi-massive to massive sulphides with chalcopyrite |
| TL-26-009 | Several narrow massive intervals within wider disseminated sulphides | Pyrite-chalcopyrite ± sphalerite with silicification |
Drilling has been focused around the “Discovery Zone (Target – 1)” and is designed to followup on drilling results from 2011 including: TL-11-05 – 2.25m @ 7.18% Cu, 3.55g/t Au, 4.30% Zn, 116g/t Ag (115.62 – 117.87m) and 14.15m @ 1.44% Cu, 0.77g/t Au, 0.29% Zn, 16.5g/t Ag (124.5 – 138.65m).
The reported widths are downhole lengths, not true widths. Descriptions are visual only; assays are pending.
Comments
Although based on only visual results, these initial holes are encouraging. All four 2026 holes intersected chalcopyrite-bearing sulphides with sericite and silicification supporting a hydrothermal VMS interpretation. The 7 m massive sulphide interval in TL-26-008 is particularly encouraging, although its grade is unknown. The Discovery Zone geophysical signature remains largely untested and is interpreted to extend approximately 3.5km with only 335 m tested by historical and current drilling. The company also has identified additional undrilled targets on the property.
