Highlights
- Multiple chargeability anomalies identified south of the Birch skarn expand the exploration footprint into a broader intrusive system.
- The anomalies coincide with a mapped intrusive body and magnetic high and elevated molybdenum-in-soil geochemistry.
- Select grab samples in the same area returned grades up to 16 grams per tonne (“g/t”) gold, 1,825 g/t silver, and 0.43% copper (News Release Dec 8, 20251).
- One of the new IP targets was tested by diamond drilling during the 2026 program, with assays pending.
Beyond the Headline
Yukon Metals reports that a new 12.7 line km IP survey with 100m spaced dipoles has identified multiple chargeability anomalies approximately 2 km south of the known Birch Cu-Au skarn, significantly expanding the exploration footprint of a broader intrusive system. Significantly, these geophysical coincide with a mapped granodioritic intrusion, magnetic high, elevated Mo-in-soil geochemistry and anomalous Au-Ag-Cu surface samples. Previous selective grab samples in the broader southern area returned up to 16 g/t Au, 1,825 g/t Ag and 0.43% Cu. One of these IP targets was already tested by hole 12 during the 2026 drilling program and assays are pending.
Follow-up mapping identified molybdenite and local copper mineralization in the granodiorite, with alteration and veining increasing near its northern contact. Garnet-pyroxene skarn boulders also occur near the intrusive contact further strengthening the presence of a significant porphyry environment.
