Beyond the Headline

Hole SBM26-09 intersected chalcocite-bornite-chalcopyrite-bearing massive sulphide mineralization on the Black Rock Copper Vein (Figure 4-1) which returned 0.82 m @ 8.20% CuEq (6.22% Cu,  207.1 g/t Ag & 0.27% Zn). The intersection is about 30 m below an unmined copper-silver block identified in historical Anaconda records. Assays remain pending for the additional silver-zinc vein systems intersected by SBM26-09, including the Rainbow, Boston and Jersey Blue veins.

Comments: The true width of the vein intersected is only approximately 50–60% of the 0.82-m core interval, although poor core recovery in the 1.95m immediately above the interval means the full vein width isn’t known.  As noted in the press release, the intersection is consistent with the location of the mineralized vein in the historic records, hence it provides confirmation of the accuracy of the historical data justifying further followup work. It will be important for follow-up drilling to demonstrate repeatable high-grade veins with potentially mineable widths.
