Gold-bearing quartz-sulphide mineralization including Visible Gold to the Naked Eye (VG-NE) is present in multiple previously announced drill holes containing broad mineralized intervals, confirming the presence of newly defined volcanic Wedge Zones located at the intersection of the Bonanza and Golden Gate Zone…
Beyond the Headline
Goliath reports confirmation of broad volcanic “Wedge Zones” between the higher-grade Bonanza and Golden Gate structures. These contain networks of mineralized veinlets over typical widths of 10–50 m, reaching 58 m, with grades locally up to 3.60 g/t AuEq. The wedges currently extend up to ~310 m laterally and ~110 m vertically. This lower-grade envelope physically connects the Bonanza Zone with the Golden Gate Zone. The mineralization is characterized by dense networks of thin, mineralized veinlets interpreted as distributed structural fractures within an intense damage zone developed around the junction of the two main trends.
This is very significant as Surebet may not simply consist of discrete high-grade veins which was one of my concerns. The intervening volcanic rock can itself be mineralized, thereby connecting high-grade structures into a much larger mineable envelope. This has considerable positive implications for the resource estimation and potential mining approach.
