BCM Resources Corporation (TSXV: B) (“BCM” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that drilling of diamond drill hole TK20 was successfully completed to a depth of 4,317 ft (1,261 m) at its 100% controlled Thompson Knolls project, in Utah’s Millard County…
Beyond the Headline
BCM completed TK20 to 1,261 m, with the visually mineralized porphyry-skarn interval extended to a depth of 594 m. The interval comprises mineralized latite/tonalite porphyry dykes intercalated with Cu-bearing skarn before transitioning into hornfels/marble. Assays remain pending. BCM describes this hole as the longest and strongest visually mineralized interval drilled at Thompson Knolls. The drill rig has now been moved to TK21 collared ~250 m west of TK-20 near TK-05 which was lost in May 2022 due to poor ground conditions, but the final 2 m of this hole encountered appreciable copper sulfides. The ~600-m mineralized interval in TK-20 substantially increases the possibility that TK8 which intersected 307.8 m @ 0.40% Cu, 0.08 g/t Au and 4.92 g/t Ag including 155.4 m @ 0.66% Cu, 0.12 g/t Au and 7.4 g/t Ag was peripheral to a much larger porphyry-skarn system. If TK20, which was collared 208m northeast of TK-08, delivers significant economic CuEq grades, it could be transformational. Until assays arrive, however, descriptions of “strong mineralization” shouldn’t be equated with grade.
